Llywodraethwyr Governors

Mae Corff Llywodraethol Ysgol Gymraeg Y Trallwng yn gyfrifol am sicrhau fod yr ysgol yn cael ei gweithredu'n effeithiol. Mae’r llywodraethwyr yn dod o amrywiaeth o gefndiroedd, ac mae ganddynt wahanol sgiliau a phrofiadau i gyfrannu. Mae’r corff yn cynnwys cynrychiolaeth o rieni, athrawon, staff, y gymuned a’r Awdurdod Addysg Lleol.

Yn bennaf, maent yn gyfrfiol am:

• osod gweledigaeth, ethos a chyfeiriad strategol yr ysgol;

• dal y pennaeth i gyfrif am berfformiad addysgol yr ysgol a’i disgyblion;

• goruchwylio perfformiad ariannol yr ysgol, a sicrhau fod y cyllid yn cael ei wario yn effeithiol.

Mae'r Corff Llywodraethol llawn yn cyfarfod unwaith bob hanner tymor. Ceir hefyd nifer o is-bwyllgorau sy'n cyfarfod yn rheolaidd. Yn ogystal, mae’r Llywodraethwyr yn ymgymryd â gweithgareddau monitro bob tymor gyda’r staff a’r disgyblion yn ystod y diwrnod ysgol. Mae'r pennaeth, staff a’r llywodraethwyr yn gweithio mewn partneriaeth agos a chytbwys er mwyn darparu'r addysg orau bosibl i ddisgyblion Ysgol Gymraeg Y Trallwng.

The Governing Body of Ysgol Gymraeg Y Trallwng is responsible for ensuring the school is run effectively. Governors come from various backgrounds and have differing skills and experiences. The body includes representation from parents, teachers, staff, the community and the Local Education Authority.

In the main, they are responsible for:

• Giving the school a clear vision, ethos and strategic direction;

• Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils;

• Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is spent effectively.

The full Governing Body meets once every half term and there are also a number of sub-committees which meet regularly. In addition, Governors undertake monitoring activities every term with the pupils and staff during the school day. The headteacher, staff and governors work in a close and equal partnership to ensure that the best possible education is provided to pupils at Ysgol Gymraeg Y Trallwng.
